This issue has gotten quite a lot of press lately. Could someone that has done a complete brake upgrade on the S14 just post a list of parts needed to complete the swap? Then we could just post a link to this thread everytime someone asked about the 300z brake conversion.

yeah that would be good, i dont really want to spend 600 bucks for big brake upgrade, but i got 4 calipers from a na 300z for 100 bucks for all 4, so brembo rotors arent really that expensive, i like the brembo better than the power-slot/stop

Edit:  This whole thing.

Ok.  I did my brakes, and I used 2x front calipers from a '91 300zx, and the PDM brake line kit.  Then I went to ebay, and bought a pair of Brembo 300zx 5-lug x-drilled and slotted rotors for the car.  My calipers were bare, so I needed to go to the Nissan dealership and buy a brake hardware kit, then 4 pins to hold the pads in place.  I also bought EBC greenstuff brake pads, and came up with a total of $550 on parts.

It was really easy putting them on, the lines screwed to the beginning of the old lines, the calipers bolted into the holes the 240sx's bolted into, and the only thing I had to modify was the dust gaurd thing, I cut that off.

Umm, let me clear something up.

Brembo sells its blanks to compaines like KVR, power-slot/stop...and they crossdrill or slot them and add their name to the rotor......thats how its done.

you forgot to add that kvr power-slot/stop also tacks on about 40 dollars to the top of the cost. 'cause you know it was expensive to take more OUT of the rotor with cross drilling or slotting.

and those are still stock-sized rotors.  brembo big brake kit is 2800
