TOTAL JDM = Bad sellers!!!

I recieved my engine today finally, and i looked at it and they SENT ME A BAD MOTOR AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :smacked49

The first engine they sent me was used as a parts engine so i sent that one back and they gave me a "replacement" engine

While the replacement engine was being delivered they sent me an e-mail that said " its whats on the inside of the motor thats important..."...NO....WTF...

I recieved the replacment engine today and looked at it and there is a 3 inch CRACK IN THE VALVE COVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the second BAD motor that they sent me... This so called replacement engine sucks! :crazyrant

I am giving them seven days to fix this problem... I am demanding a full refund.

I will get pics up when i get my digital camera back.

I have called them over 35 times and they won't pick up my call! I have been more than patient on this matter...

jeez dude just order a new valve cover...

if they fucked you once they will do it again. better suck up the loss and move on (counting the rest of the engine is good) maybe next time they will send you a dented oil pan, right? its like rolling dice. :squintd:

a cracked valve cover isn't THAT bad, i have seen much worse.

If it was just a craked valve cover, and thats all that is wrong, I would just keep it :confused:

Might have been cracked in shipping the motor could be okay.

Still its pretty shaddy though. Its always nice to see a motor in person before buying or at least have pics. Or buy through a reputable seller.

damn, sorry bro. I was planning on buying from them too. total-boost.com right? same place... anyways, i went with a private seller. Pulsar GTR on NICO. Getting 2 engines so i'll post up about him. he's a very reputable CA18det seller so I hope i'll get 2 nice redtops.

Yeah sorry about the bad news... but the frist engine they sent me was used as a parts engine :rant2: It was stripped of most everything that i paid for to come with it in the first place and a cut harness and no ecu, bad turbo...ect
and now this?? this is unacceptable.
Its not just the valve cover either.

this is why you guys should focus on buying from reputable sellers? i wouldnt want a motor with a dented oil pan OR a cracked valve cover. why? because it all depends WHEN the oil pan was dented and WHEN the valve cover was cracked. if it was cracked ON the car and water and other debri got in there, I would be pissed because there's a good chance the head has a bunch of crud in it, especially after sitting for so long (like most clips do). if the oil pan was dented during shipping thats one thing, but if it was dented on the actual car then how am i to know the motor hasnt been starved of oil like so many damaged SRs are?

you really have to buy from reputable sellers and not pick pennies and cut corners.

get a refund if you can't then document your calls and emails, keep records, then just take them to small claims court. i'd agree with old_s13, don't pinch pennies and cut corners. if a company doesn't answer your calls soon or at all it probably means they have something hidden....sometimes

allways tryin to save a few bux. cant say it too much. u get waht u pay for there is a reson some shops cost a few hundred bux more then others. so next time sothign like this comes into play think about it.

should have asked for a digi image, with a serial number writen on the motor. Shipping usually brakes stuff.. they will pay for broken parts or what ever you insured it for... theres a reason they have insurance... you paid for it USE IT.
