I just bought a 1992 240sx se coupe with wiring problems. The horn doesn't work. I did some reading and found out that the horn wire under the steering column is green w/ white line.

Is that it?

I though that was it so I cut it and touched the wire to a metal piece for ground. Nothing happened, but then I realized I don't have a horn. Well, I'm not sure.

Is this the or was the horn?

Please help, I need to pass inspection!

NO, I think that's the ambient air temp sensor. And you really failed, if you don't have horns installed but decided to rip apart shit and cut wires.

The horns are located by the left and right core support brackets, if that's what those brackets are called. In your picture, pan to the left or right, the 1st vertical metal object you see, then look up about an inch or two.

If you don't see the horns, there should be a single wire with a spade connector, on each side.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't rip anything out, it was already like that when I bought it. I looked on each side and there are no spade connector. But did I cut the right wire? I want to be 100% sure.
I read around and thought about connecting a wire from the positive battery to a button, but a fuse is in between and then the button connected to a new horn I'll buy and then ground the horn. Sounds good? Any other ideas can help!
