I have a 1990 240sx coupe 5 speed, everything is fine except car won't go into any gear? Clutch feels fine and my slave cylinder blew a couple months ago I replaced it. Could it be the master clutch cylinder? The rod coming out of the firewall seal is moist but I still have fluids in the reservoir. Any insight on this would be appreciateed :fawkd:

I had the same problem. Blew a slave cylinder changed it. Was obviously blown. Then a couple months later did the same thing. Changed the master solved the problem. If there's any fluid on the firewall replace the master. And if u haven't already get rid of that clutch dampener by the slave. U can bend the hard line going over to the dampener from the master and simply hook it up. Makes bleeding 100x easier and gives a lot better pedal feel imo.

change the clutch master if the problem still exists ur throw out bearing might of fell of the collar or clip

Maybe a spring popped out from your clutch? That caused my tranny not to go in gear Check the clutch dampener if you think master and slave are good.

So replaced slave and master and deleted dampener still doesn't want to go in gear? Next would to check throw out bearing?

Have someone check see if the pin from the Slave is moving when you engage the clutch, does it feel loose at all? What happened before it stopped working? Noob question..Did you check fluids on it before? Does it go in gear when its off?
