View Full Version : High Milage on SR20DE-T?

Yah, I just got an SR20DE-T redtop from a front clip and saw that it had 70,000 miles on engine and i was wondering if this is unusally high milage for that engine or is it fine? excuse my grammer thx.

how'd you see 70k? the cluster reads km's. most clips read 60-70km i think. If someone actually told you it has 70k MILES, i think that's refreshing hoesty. Id rather believe that than someone telling me their 10 year old engine has 30,000 miles on it. good luck with the engine. have you installed it yet?

Most 10 year old clips do have only 30k on them. The reason being is that once you hit I believe it is 35k miles on your car in japan you are hit with another tax, therefore they usually park or scrap the cars around 30-35k miles. the engines usually have sat for quite awhile that is why it is ussually a good idea change gaskets and such becouse of weathering.
