Ive have been looking for a set of s13 240sx Energy Suspension Subframe bushing but so far all i get are 7.1117 s14 bushings.

Does any body know if there is a difference in the two. Or has anyone installed s14 7.1117 in a s13 sub frame.

They work for S13 & S14. The only difference is for S14, you need to cut/press out the cups, for S13 you leave them in.

^^You're welcome... I appreciate the compliment, but I only know what little I know. I learn something from the true 'experts' here & elsewhere every day.

BTW, when you get the bushings, read the directions- The method they use for getting the old bushings out is 1000000x better than setting them on fire and making a mess like a lot of the online "how to"s say to do it. When they catch fire, put it out... If you take your time, and just heat up around the bushings until you see the magic white smoke get released vs. apply heat directly to them; you will noitice that they will pop out nearly whole w/only about 5-10sec worth pof scraping needed to clean out the cups. Also, there is a retaining section on the bottom of the cups... So do it with the subframe upside down, so when you pop the bushings out with a hammer & drift; none of the rubber will hang up. I wish I had made a video when I did mine- it went SO smooth... Only took about 5-10min per bushing. Biggest thing is take your time and be patient with the heat.

As far as putting the new ones in, put them in the freezer overnight the night before you install them (they will slightly contract), use plenty of grease and they will go in like butter. To give an idea, my 10yr old daughter put mine in for me :D

oh yeah before i even thought about buying these i did atleast a weeks worth of searching forums on the topic. After reading about the failed attempts i put aside a whole day just to do this mod. Your right the easiest and probably the fastest way is appling a little heat to the outside and not lighting them on fire. As soon as you see that white smoke the old worn out bushing are easy to poke out with minimal tools. I used only a torch and flat head to remove mine. way easier that the videos on you tube.

s14 subframe bushing replacement NO FIRE.

Without a doubt lighting them on fire is a huge stinky mess that causes more harm than good.

Remember you guys can also gain slightly better suspension geometry by shaving the upper parts down (and the inner sleeve) until there is *just* a small amount left over. of the upper lip (consider it an insulating washer at that point).

Definitely something to look into 20-30yrs from when these bushings shit on me ;)

this holds true for both the s13 and 14?

those lips look no more the 1/2" how much should I shave off?

you can also cut out the bushings with a sawall. took 10 minutes to remove them all.
