I purchased a used bee*r and am kind of worried about it's settings.

All three knobs spin freely in either direction.

Are they supposed to stop at some point, or is this normal?

I just dont want to hook it up and have crazy shit happen.

Thanks in advance!

Well you should feel a distinctions between the turns.

Yeah, when you turn the knob you should feel clicking but it won't stop, you can keep going round and round

There are definetly distinct clicks between settings, just no stopping point.

When I hook it up to power does it automatically go to default settings?

ie: when I wire it in and start the car, is it gonna be a preset factory setting or do I jave to juat spin knobs till I find a good limit?

open it up and take a look at it.

the knobs should not be rotating freely like that.

they should be firmly in place, on the setting you set it on.

Figured out thw knob situation...

Now when I wire it in do I wire it to the wires going INTO the ecu or the qire going into the harness.

Yes ive read all the how to's, just cant figure it out.

Or both, ie: three wires in one connection

I always thought it had to be spliced into the correct wires but that didn't work for me and I've yet to try it again. I'm pretty sure the wires have to be cut and the bee r just connects to the wires going to the ecu. I've seen a picture of a guy who installed his and that's what it showed but I can't confirm it.

I spliced them into the ecu with all correct pin numbers and noe the car wont start, going to splicev it into harness now
