Ever since the launch of ImportMeet.com we have wanted to create a competition that would be exciting to compete in and follow along with online. The competition we had in mind would combine various forms of motorsports activities to attract the most readers and variety of import cars. We are proud to announce that in 2013 we will be holding our first ever Import Meet Street Car Competition (IMSCC).

Our plan is to bring together at least 10 of the best import cars in the Pacific Northwest to compete in a multi-event challenge. Since this our first time organizing a competition of this magnitude, we plan on keeping the rules simple and the categories reasonable. If you have never heard of our website, we have a track record for holding high quality events in the Pacific Northwest and the IMSCC will be no different.
We will compare and share the results of the competition in these categories:
• 1/4 Mile E.T. (Pacific Raceways – Kent, WA)
• Peak Horsepower (Carb Connection – Kirkland, WA)
• Power Delivery (Carb Connection – Kirkland, WA)
• Autocross (Bremerton Motorsports Park – Bremerton, WA)
• Car Show (judged by NWMotiv.com)
• Fabrication/Engineering (judged by Speedware Motorsports – Redmond, WA)
• Fuel Economy
• Retail Price
• Ride Quality
We are now accepting applications from people who want to compete in the IMSCC. Our selection process will be strict and only cars that our panel feels best represent what the region has to offer will be selected to compete in the IMSCC. We are searching for some of the best performing and highest quality import street cars in the Pacific Northwest. In addition, we are also looking for drivers who have experience drag racing and autocrossing their car.
Once attendance has been confirmed, we will publish a small feature article on each car and driver so that our readers can get to know each competitor. Backup cars and drivers will be chosen in the event that a primary competitor has to forfeit their spot.
Join the Official IMSCC Facebook Event Page (http://www.facebook.com/events/326231620829022/) for notifications and information about the competition as we share them on Facebook.
You can also find all of the posts about the event here: http://www.imscc.us
Become a member on ImportMeet.com and discuss the event in the forum specifically created for this competition. Feel free to add your opinion to any of the threads in this forum to help us improve the event. Our preliminary rules for the event are listed here (http://www.importmeet.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=126&t=1888).
Our definition of an import street car:
“Import street cars are defined as cars that are produced by non-US manufacturers, are regularly driven on the street, are legally registered in the state in which the competitor resides, and covered by insurance. At minimum, all safety equipment must comply with federal and state requirements (i.e. seat belts, height from the road, lights/blinkers, etc.) and all cars must have a functioning heater.
All cars must have a factory dashboard and at least 2 front seats and door panels. Rear seats, door panels, stereo and a spare tire are not required but car show points will be deducted for cars with minimal interior and no audio system.”
The Import Meet Street Car Competition events will occur on August 9th to August 11th, 2013. If you think you have what it takes to compete in this competition, please click the link below and fill out the application form completely.
