Battery died. I need a battery now and I want a lightweight one. I have no radio at the moment so that should help. So far, I've seen the Westco battery that phase2 sells. http://www.store.yahoo.com/phase2motorsports/wemihipeba.html If this is the Miata one then this can also be ordered from westco's website with free shipping. Then there is this one that pdm sells, http://www.pdm-racing.com/products/power.html This one seems like the most hardcore but will it be OK for a daily driver. I've also heard of people talking about oddysey and SVR or something like that. Which one do you think I should get? I drive my car every day and the reason why this one died on me is because my car was down for 4 days and the dash drained it. I just wanna take more weight off the front end without relocating the battery and I could alwyas relocate it later if I wanted to.

well I got my miata battery from an interstate battery store, used but tested in great condition, 25 bucks. but yah if you wanna do it right, then svr is a great brand. I think they are sealed if im not mistaken.

I have had the Westco battery for almost 2 years now and its been great. It was 5lbs lighter then my stock type battery. I have had to recharge the thing a few times mainly due to I had my car on jack stands for 6 months :) Otherwise, the battery is great. I got mine before Phase2 carried them, I think I searched google and got it for about 80$...

Hey west, why is it that it only is 5 pounds less when it looks to be about half the size of stock style?

probably more plates in the smaller battery. Lead is heavy

Its not half the size of a stock battery, close though. Im sure its just waht thx247 said though... its a sealed design so it could possibly weight more even though its smaller.
