No boost

I recently did a turbo swap to a GT28 and FINALLY got it running. There are no oil leaks. I know I need to break it in, but I am getting absolutely no boost after first gear. I'm running a manual boost controller and an SAFC II. The MAF is fine, I already checked that. Oh, it's an SR20DET redtop by the way. Any and all ideas would be great.

Do you have a boost gauge?
Sounds like a boost leak to me.

If you have absolutely no boost, most likely your wasegate is stuck open in some way. I would definitely start there before anything. Are there any exhaust leaks BEFORE the turbo (from the head to header or header to turbo)? Check there next.

Does it make boost in second gear?

Most small turbo cars don't load enough in first to make significant boost as it is.

I don't think my waste gate is stuck open as I am using an externa blow off valve. I'm guessing boost leak or exhaust leak before the turbo. I'll check asap and update then.

Problem solved. The turbo is blown.
