Car won't start

My car won't start, it started and ran then died on me, then I tried to start it again, won't turn over. my lights and everything turn on so I don't think it's the alternator. My battery I checked like 2 weeks ago. it was good.

so battery is good.
I thought it might be the starter, I just so happened to have an extra laying around from a swap, so I tried that. nothing.

I think my ingition switch may be bad, my buddy said I may have snapped my timing chain. but I'm not sure, even then I'd think it try and turn over, or at least make some noise when tryin to turn over.

help me out peeps! I need my car.

does it crank at all? or u just turn the switch and nothing happens?

does it stay on if you turn the ignition and hold it? (dont leave it for too long though)

I can't get it to start again, won't turn over at all.

just make one click when I turn the key to start it. then nothing.

hmm. check starter cables. power and ground. ground is known to come loose

your starter isnt grounding if all you hear is a click your solenoid is poping, easiest way to fix this is to get a 6$ ground cable (2 gauge wire) from oreilys bolt it to you intake manifold and connect the other end to your battery your car will start =D
