ok, i don't know why, but i must've got like 15 emails over the past month n a half saying that i shouldn't post on these boards b/c "there r no skyline gts-t's" or "you only wish you had a skyline so please don't waste our time on zilvia." i responded politely to like the first 2, but here's the pics to shut them up (& my 2 friends cars, i'll take them off if u don't want them posted, hope it won't be a problem).

Actually, if you really want to piss people off, explain the cost of a GTS-T! Aren't they about the cost of a nice s14 here? Under $10K, right?

Anyway, sorry to hear about that - they ought to realize that what people go ga-ga for hear is commonplace in many corners of the globe. ####, in South America there are so many Mercedes... taxis. Good luck convincing them - even if some of us find it utterly believable.

not intending to, that's why i put s13 in there 2 (i have seen ppl talk about sentras n stuff here 2 though, or hondas). oh, n i have no idea who most of the ppl r that posted (emails not listed in profile) n emailed me. i do know for sure 3 of the people, nobody that really posts here often, but they're the ones i emailed n told them about it, n they replied back n apologized n what not. neway, ca18guy u can delete this thread if u want, it's cool w/ me, don't wanna start no controversy or whatever. n hipposleek, u could probably buy a used r32 gt-r, not gts-t, for around 10k, sometimes less.

owning a car n japan is the bigest pain in the ass ever! i read an article saying how extensive the driving test was, how its rediculously expensive to park, and how you cant buy a car without a licence and proof of parking

driving test: okay, so my NC license was an easy ass test n it took less than 5 minutes. japan, all i had to do was drive a little, parallel park between 2 cones, n reverse park, that's it (written test 2 of course).
parking: no worse out in town than what i've seen in major U.S. cities, depends where u r.
buying a car: why would u wanna buy a car w/out a license neway?

man all the cars that people would pay out the ass for here are so cheap there, i was browsing yahoo japan car auctions once and saw an r32 gt-r with full jun internals and a trust t88-34d for 1.5 million yen (around 12k US right now), even had a 7 point roll cage inside, totally stock on outside including wheels, with 0 bids and no time left on it...makes me want to join the service and hope i get lucky and end up in japan, cause i would blow all of my enlistment cheese on a badass r32

keep in mind u could also look for another job that works w/ the government, there's always civilians that get to go overseas n work on base n stuff. u could always go to college n become n officer in the military if u really wanted to as well.

how do you seek out employment in japan from here in the US? I've been told that in japan they are greatly in need of native english speakers (to avoid engrish, http://www.engrish.com). do you know of any job agencies which might be able to help finding employment and housing in japan?

all i can say for sure is f.b.i.s. (foreign broadcasting information service) cuz my friends dad is in that n they've been to like japan, thailand n stuff like that. i've seen teachers there that weren't exactly in the military that teached at schools there. but i would say just look into government based companies/work. maybe u could work for nissan in japan? that would be cool as ####. i'm going for a mechanical/motorsports engineering degree n my goal is to work in japan, or somewhere nice in the U.S.

i lived in japan for 8 years, just moved back a year and a half ago.. and driving there would be a blast.. besides having to pay up the ass for "shock-ins" which you have to get more frequently as your car gets old, and costs you upwards of 1000$? i think.. correct me if i'm wrong zenki. other than that, no one gets pulled over, or very rarely where i lived, ####, i lived on an island, and down at the docks people would drift and do crazy shit, it was straight baddass.. cops hardly ever broke it up either, they are pretty lazy over there. Funny thing is, a cop chased me on my bike after i straight went through a building and down the escalator, and out the doors which were propped open.. yet he doesn't do shit about a skyline burning down the street in front of me, obviously doubling the speed limit. It is funny like that i'd go back in an instant... (i coudln't drive there,, booo,, i could now tho! so i want to go back baad!) anyhow, i doubt any of you will read all my babble... just thought i might be able to clear a few things up...
