I touched the ground (i think???) on my alternater with a filter wrench (sr20) it did a big spark and the motor doesnt even turn over!!!!! Everything else works!!!! Like the lights and fuel pump but motor wont turn over????

Can the ecu or something get fried? I didnt see no smoke clme from the alternater and my car didnt smell like anything burnt when i smelled the Ecu

A fried ecu is definitely a possiblity. This problem seems to pop up every so often. When ever your working on your car, just take the 2 minutes to disconnect the battery. What motor is in the car. If it's an SR, it might also be the ignitor.

Car still turns on (pushstart) drives perfect just doesnt crank with ignition switch

might have burn your ignition switch? or your wiring might be wrong, from what it sounds like

my brother's car can start up using his remote start but cant start up his car by turning over the key. Thus he switch out the ignition switch and it works !
