1997 Nissan 240sx S14 Kouki
18" MSR Wheels (5 lug)
245/40/R18 Hankook Ventius R-33 tires, 90% tread left
Greddy coil overs & upper control rods
Engine brace and camber plates
Rolled fenders, has room to be lowered further
Custom red and black faux leather interior
Custom mix satin gray paint
167,XXX miles

I bought this car just over a year ago and love it, it's been my daily driver and commuter car but I moved closer to work and don't need to commute anymore. I've spent a lot of time and money getting it super clean, dialing in the handle, as well as performing as a 100% reliable daily driver. I drive it aggressively but never past its limit or beat on it, I've never drifted it either although a previous owner used it for that. All work has been performed by a professional shop, even the synthetic oil changes.

This car gets a lot of looks, even from people who don't know what it is or how rare these cars are these days. The paint is a custom blend, dark satin gray, a little over a year old, the car's been garaged at night since I've owned it and never driven in the rain. It is completely ready to go, needs nothing and has no issues of any kind. I keep the maintenance tight on this car, it passes smog and I will have it smogged again prior to sale.

It has a pretty substantial aftermarket suspension system with GReddy coilovers at all 4 corners and upper control pieces. It tracks perfectly true and has almost zero body roll while also delivering a relatively smooth ride over bumps, considering how flush the wheels are and how low the car is. Handles normal size speed bumps without bottoming out too, has room to go lower if desired. It's also got custom black and red leather interior. I think it's faux leather, but it still looks nice and gives the car a custom/classy feel on the inside. The engine is almost completely stock except for a K&N air intake and a flowmaster exhaust. JDM front end, custom aluminum side rails and trimmed rear valance.

Things that are not perfect: The paint has a very small chip or two in it and a quarter size piece of the driver's side leather seat was torn off from jean buttons. The driver's side interior door panel has a divot in it on the elbow rest. All pretty minor stuff, overall the car is very impressive in person.

Asking price is $12,000. I'm a little flexible on the price, but be reasonable. This is a rare care and only getting rarer, especially in this condition. Sorry but I'm NOT interested in trades, I already have another car. Please don't waste my time unless you're serious and have cash, absolutely no joy rides.

I'll check back when I have time, but I'm not on here very often so please text for faster response, NO CALLS though.

Thanks for looking.

I was just like O_o when I saw the price. I scrolled up and looked for a list of built SR parts or something.

Koukis are not rare.

10k...haha. If this is worth 10k then my Zenki is worth 30k.

They're kinda rare.
Only about 6k produced for the US. That being said, the only difference between the kouki and zenki are a few minor exterior tweaks that only cost 1k or so in brand new parts. And they made about 35k Zenki's.....

FYI OP, I paid less than 10K for my 100% stock 97 kouki SE with 29k miles on it.

Interior is not helping this car or the red engine bay and trunk. All this has going for it is its a kouki, paint, and coilovers. I think you can get around 8000 for it. Glws

Thanks for making an offer, Killa, I'm in no real rush to sell though so 7k is a little less than I'm willing to go right now. I've got 12k into it already, took a bit to get it cleaned up and dialed in, most of these cars in the lower price range are beaters or unreliable money pits with back yard swaps. This one isn't.

I've owned faster cars, but none more fun, well put together & perfectly balanced. All the work was done by a pro shop & anyone interested in it is welcome to bring a mechanic by to check it out. There are no surprises with this car, pretty much everything has been gone through & checked out.

With the mostly stock KA, it's not super fast out of the hole, but it is fast on the freeway and is built to last. Throw a turbo on it and you've got one of the best drift cars in San Diego. That's not my thing, I've been using it as my daily commuter car (hence the stock engine), but it's ready for it.

Throw a turbo on it and you've got one of the best drift cars?? I didn't see any mentions of a diff in this thing. So no, a turbo would not make it the best drift car around. You sir, have got a stock motor, tacky interior, tape player, and the idea that you've got a sporty vehicle worthy of you're outrageous asking price. Its a nissan for crying out loud...

No sweat, I like the vehicle the way it is but my ego's not tied to my car so it's no big deal if you guys aren't into it. Either way, it's time for me to sell this and move on to other projects.

Final price drop, $8,000 FIRM. All cash in hand, no trades.

Guys stop flaming him.
Sure he's got some emotional attachment to his car
Sure he's spent a ton of money on it like we all do.
Imo OP's price previous price was in the built Sr range but he has been lax with his price. 8K is a good price for a perfectly running ka. My friend bought his for 7000 and it wouldnt pass smog, didnt have a beautiful paint job, and had a tach that wasnt working. If this thing is as reliable as he says it is 8k is a perfect price, OP don't budge on that price anymore.

I see this whole flaming as a sign of broke ass kids with their beat up 240's that fork up a good amount of money to get it running the way it should. This is a nice stock kouki and if the op is being honest about the car it should drive well. Plus kouki's are getting harder to come by without stupid broken bodykits and a shitty kept engine. Op don't go any lower on that price. Let kids be kids. :2f2f:

The price is firm at 8k, it's worth it and you're welcome to bring a mechanic to check it out.

A Paint job does not add 7K in Price. I bought my 98 Kouki for 5K all it had was Stance Coil overs, Muffler Shop special exhaust and crappy rims.

So if hes gonna get 10K for a stock Kouki then I should get 25K for mine with the RB25 swapped in it.

Cuz if I were to sell my RB25 Kouki I would sell it for 10K probably

Thats awesome that you got your kouki that sounds like it was modified pretty poorly and the only thing that sounds like it had any value were the coil overs. But some people prefer the car to be nicely maintained and stock. So they won't have to deal with a shitty modded car. Plus its a huge plus if the car could pass smog now a days especially in california with the new star smog.

You'd think that as a community you guys would encourage higher prices for these cars, by bashing higher prices all you're doing is setting a lower precedent of value when it comes time for you to sell your ride. You're lowering YOUR OWN car's value by default.

Why do you think 15 year old Supra's still command $20-30,000 prices for a 15 year old car?

If you're an enthusiast, hold the line and support higher prices, it'll only help you in the long run. Economics lesson over, the car's $8k FIRM.

*clapping* well said man, I'm in San Diego too let me know where you got your work done on this car i recently got my S14 an im very new to Nissan/rwd/boost
I was able to pick my 97 LE kouki for $5000 and it has SR20DET in it with 51k miles. Kouki's are super rare here and if you find a good one its gonna be over priced (drift tax) or salvaged.
GLWS hope it goes to a good home

No sweat. Before I bought this one (and it needed some work) I looked at a bunch of others in the $4-5,000 price range. All of them needed work. Sure you can get a cheaper S14, but you'll be putting more money into it to get it this clean. At 8k I'm losing money on it from what I have into it, the price is firm.

BTW, funny how small the internet is, I took that pic that you're using in your profile, EsChassisLove.
