Just got a set of 15x7 +17 offset meshies. I have no diea what brand they are. Any ideas? I'm probably gonna get a set of 205/55/15's. Think I'll have any fittment problems?
haha I took them down to a machine shop to make sure they were all straight and to repair one of the lips. anyway, I asked how much they would charge to polish all the lips and repaint them. Basically restore them...$438!!! Is that normal?

Unfortunatley I paid too much :-/ but there my first set and I'm happy with them so far. I searched the forums and tried sanding my hand...I gotta find a better way cuz thats gonna take forever!!! I'll get some tires hopefully next week or so then I gotta do some suspension work :eek3d:

yeah i agree do it yourself. im in the process of doing it to mine. easy as pie but takes along time without the proper tools. the bolts on mine were too rusted to take the faces off, so i refinished them with the face on. just mask it off you know?
as for the lip, first i had to stip the paint. i used some jelly type stuff that you find at home depot (its some aircraft grade something or other...thats what it says on the bottle). so i put that on. then i stripped it using a wire brush first (to get the majority of the paint off). then i used a paint scraper (tried plastic and it sucked so i bought a metal one). then after the paint is mostly off, i used steel wool to start the polishing. followed it with 800 grit, then 1500 grit, then rubbing compound. then finally polish. easy but takes forever.

The wheels are RIKEN. I have the same set. Only in a gay offset.
