i got my wiring harnesses back today, and connected everything up, i didn't jumper the plug by the passenger side fusebox, i checked the dash lights, and whatever to make sure all was working, then i jumpered the plug by making a 'Y' out of wire, and connected one end to chassis ground, and the two ends to the plug, then i went to try cranking, and nothin...then all the dash power went out, and i saw that the 'IGN SW' fuse in the passenger side fusebox had blown, i replaced the fuse, and the dash lights worked again, and i called it quits for the nite

any ideas what might be happening here? i did not unplug or jumper anything inside the car, i was under the impression that that procedure was to bypass the ignition key lock thing that wouldnt' let you pull the key out, i was able to remove the key fine without doing anything though, do i need to do anything inside the car to get it to crank? i also used a pretty thin wire to jumper that plug, and it has some thicker wire going to it...could that have caused the problem?

this is for a s13 redtop into s13 chassis, chassis was automatic, jumpered plug was two thick wires, black with yellow stripe, black with white stripe
