VLSD output shaft questions

Alright, I know this stuff has been covered a lot before. But I can't seem to find the answer. I know that J30 output shafts will work in a z32 diff. Will the opposite work? As in, z32 output shafts in a j30 diff. I bought a j30 diff on eBay and it came without output shafts. I have a lead on some z32 NA output shafts. I just need to know if it will work.

Yes, as long as the J30 diff. isn't from a '97 model.
