So after completing the installation of my chase bay's power steering kit, ive decided my next project at hand should be a alternator upgrade and a big 3 upgrade. Considering the car has some power drainage problems from something as simple as auto belts activating, defroster, turn light, brake light, etc.... From doing some research ive found that high output KA alternators seems to be a bit overpriced, ranging from $350 for a 140 amp to $550 for a 220 amp. Ive decided to do a nissan quest alternator mod. Seeing that its a $130 for a 125 amp alternator im getting the best bang for the buck.
Anyone else have had experience in doing this mod? Any helpful tips/advice would be great. I found a write up with pics from a guy who did it last year, but not sure if he provided all the information I need to do this upgrade.
