phantom grip has released a new lsd insert called the rhantom grip extreme,, no more upgrated springs or anything since now theyre built in..this piece is supposed to alot more clamping force than the old design..I might get one to see how it is and save some money over a 1.5 way.

Suck it up and get a clutch type, because you know you will need to upgrade from that after you get tired of it, just do it right the first time, get a clutch type :-D

Ya, you will get tired of it, my friend did, and you will too. Waste of money going in steps. If you are getting a 1.5 way I assume you will be doing some autocrossing or track stuff. If so phantom grip will be kinda stupid, its more fore the drag racer.

model is #908X-TREME. THIS MODEL TAKES THE PLACE OF THE 908-GOLD WHICH IS AN OBSOLETE MODEL. AFTER A LOT OF TESTING, IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE 908-GOLD JUST DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH CLAMPING FORCE FOR THE HIGH OUTPUT MOTORS, SO THEY CAME OUT WITH THE 908X-TREME. THIS X-TREME MODEL IS A MUCH MORE HEAVY DUTY GRIP AND HANDLES MUCH MORE POWER THAN THE 908-GOLD. The X-Treme Model means that you do not need to buy any upgrade spring tuning kit, it's already built in.
