Yesterday's Highlight (Story)

I was cruising on El Camino Real looking for a place to eat.  I was at a traffic light and a red prelude pulled up beside me.  As soon as the light turned green we both burned out and started to race.  At first we were at the same pace and then I guess when "She" switched into 2nd she just smoked me.  As the next stoplight came I stop right beside of her and she laughed at me like I was too easy.  I know her car was souped up, plus my car is an automatic and it was running on all stock.  This was the most embarassing moment of my life.  I couldn't stop thinking about this last night.  Since this happened to me, I want to make my car a little faster... Help me find the parts and improve my car just a little bit... I think if I got an intake it wouldn't change a thing...Please help.

first where are you located?  Probably not the same El Camino Real I know......Anyway, an intake and exhaust will help!!  You need to get a manual though, maybe one that is attached to an sr20det. hehe:)

Basically what you are saying I will never have a chance against any car that is Manual?  

intake exhaust and headers will net u maybe 5-8 horsepower at the wheels realistically..... then plugs wires and little things to sure up the rest of the system....... gut ur cat.... then convert to a manual lol that would help <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

I do want a manual but that is going to cost me bucks! Just to make my car faster. &nbsp;I love the way my car is, it's just I want to make it a little faster know what I mean.

I'd do what you can to get your car manual. What year was it? The new ludes are quick, I don't think you'd beat one even if you had a manual.

hey hey, cavaliers arent that bad. &nbsp;I had a 90 cavalier and it was auto, and I beat a toyota sr5 manual and I even beat my friend who has a 93 ford probe manual.
(well, maybe I beat the probe cause he didnt and still doesnt know how to drive a stick, friking guy shifts at 4gs) &nbsp;so if i can beat them, then ground zero, u can beat them, and about the manual thing, all u gotta do is manually shift ur car, its not gonna fuk ur car up unless u do it all the time, shifting it manually will let u rev up to higher rpms than if u just let the stupid automatic shift itself! &nbsp;
One last thing, the fact that she beat u and laughed must really suck. &nbsp;####, you aren't even allowed to post in zilvia any more, u are banned
