Strongest Clutch Avalible, still slightly streetable

Well, i hate to say it, but my exedy clutch is going out.

I've gone thru an act street strip in 6 months, then an exedy single hyper in about 4 months, which shouldn't surprise me but somehow did. I've gone to 3 drift events, drag every weekend 2 days a week, and somehow get in drift during the week.

I need a clutch that can widthstand all my abuse, Im thinking twin plate, or 4 puck act possibly some other type of 3 puck? what do you guys think?

that aggressive street disk and the 6 puck exedy didn't last as long as I would've liked.

And for everyone else who will say, don't drive like an ass, Im going to, so i just need some advice, not flaming.

If you dont go with a twin plate setup, try the ACT extreme pressure plate, and a clutch specialties 6 puck sprung hub disc. You can get the phone number to clutch specialties by calling ACT direct. Since ACT doesnt offer any sprung hub discs, they reccommend clutch specialties disc's to go with their PP. I would never ever put an unsprung hub puck style disc in my car, had it once, never again. Way too harsh. I had the extreme PP in my car with ACT's own street disc and it was only rated to like 320 lb ft of torque and I was making 412rwtq and it never ever slipped. As for durability, I can tell you I put 3-4000 miles on it and sold the car over a year and a half ago, and the clutch is still in there.

I have the ACT extreme pressure plate with their 6 puck clutch. Although the car has only seen the dyno, the clutch is VERY easy to use and is barely stiffer than my stock 02 Mustang GT clutch. I'd definitely recommend it.

Contat CP Racing, they have clutches custom made by some german guys who make transport truck clutches. A friend of mine had one installed and had is PPlate reworked for extra force. I can say it grabs extremely hard and is quite streetable. I belive it's rated for 400lbs of torque, it's a 4 puck design and comparing it to the ACT clutch is much beefier, the ceramic friction serfaces are twice as thick and it's still has the marcel springs so it engages like a stock clutch. Contact Chris and he can have it built to whatever specs you need.

Well i know your suggestions might be good, but a lot of other people recommended the exedy the same way. I want a clutch that has been proven, tested to widthstand clutch kicks from drifting, higher rpm launches from dragging and all that kind of abuse.

I just called clutch specialties and they quoted me $250 for a 6 puck sprung hub kit that'll hold up to 340lbs of torque. My question is, why haven't more people used them, especially the guys in socal
since they're so easily accessible? I haven't heard anything but good things about them.

I am using an RPS clutch that is rated at somewhere north of 500 lbft... don't know that it would hold that, but it is very drivable/slippable as it is a full face disk. Quite stiff though.

RPS Max 6 puck is all you need. The pressure plate is awesome and the pucks last a long time. The pedal is a little stiff but not too bad. Matched up with a nice 2 way, this thing just bites and gets those tires spinning.
