Ok guys, general info. I have a 92 240sx se ka24de of course.

recently acouple nights ago I pulled into my driveway at home turned my key to the off position and pulled the key out and WTF the car is still firing and the dash lights stay on. I have to stall the motor and pull the posative battery cable off to get the dash lights to turn off. Ive been searching on google and everything for posibilities of whats going on.

heres what I found.
1:ignition switch is bad
2:bad ignition relay
3:ecu fried
4:engine cont fuse
5:look for bare wires

so far I have no bare wires anywhere.
pulled the engine cont fuse and its fine.
where is the ignition relay?
how do I know if my ecu is fried?
and what else could be the source of this issue and what should I look for?

Sounds like bad ign switch. The circuit should go open when you turn the key to the "off" position.

I've got a ign cylinder/switch with key for $40 shipped.

check the EGI relay(not egi pump), I had this problem before. i just removed that relay and all was good.

1: This is the MOST likely cause!
2: I guess it's possible, but not likely.
3: It is NOT the ECU.
4: A bad fuse would not be the cause either.
5: You would have to have a short to power somewhere. Look at the wiring in the driver's fenderwell. This is also not likely though...

Ingnition switch. Luckily you don't need to replace the entire unit and key. On the back of the ingnition (toward the drivers door) where the wiring is there is a tiny Phillips head screw undo it and you can replace the electronic part of the ingnition and keep your original key
