clutch pedal issues dosent come up

o mycar started to give me problmes the pedal just dropped to the ground and i see that fluid was by the master cylinder so i changed it out.

and i was wondering about the rod do i have it all the way out then connect it to the pedal. i connected everything and the pedal still dropped.

i also chnaged the slave as well but still the clutch stays on the floor,

is it going to be like that for a while to i bleed it and do i have to do by hand cause it dosent come up at all.

So my questions is on the clutch master clyinder dose the rod have to be all the way out and if so do i have to pump the clutch by hand for a while till pressure bulds up\


and i have a sr20det and i bout the master and salve from auto zone for a 94 240sx ka24de ?? so if any one can help me out plz

you could have a Dying Slave cylinder, or bubbles in the system, Or improperly setup the new master cylinder.

Have someone Push the clutch in, watch the slave cylinder ( attached to the transmission ) see what it does, see if it acts normally.

You have to bleed the system, it's not going to bleed itself. Yes, until you build pressure up in the system, you'll have to use your hand to pump the pedal and pull it back out.

Had a similar problem since my pedal wouldn't come up to all the way after driving it, you tube or google on how to bleed it and your set!

Have you removed the clutch dampener? I highly recommend you remove it. Get a buddy and properly bleed the clutch. Also check for any fluid leaks from the slave to the master cyl.

^^^right there. Had similar problem too on my old s13. Factory manual says to lift the rear of the car up and leave to front down when bleeding the clutch with dampener still intact. But I just removed the dampener and bled the system. Trouble free.

remove damper, change master cylinder, adjust master cylinder, then bleed.

Have you removed the clutch dampener? I highly recommend you remove it.

+1. Get rid of that shitty damper. You could bleed that clutch for 4 hours and not get anywhere with that pos on there. :down:

adjust your master linkage all the way out as well, bleed, then adjust to give it about a "nickel" of play/slop

the slave cylinder I got from auto zone seems longer then the one off the Sr20.
( its for a ka24de)


is that okay to use it AMD should i have to push it down to put it on and have to force it on.



is that normal??

ka24de slave is fine. its should just line up.

if thats not the problem check the pedal. the spot welds on it can break causing the pedal to have no back pressure since the spring is not being pushed in. easy fix if its that.

I am posting on this, because I do not know how to get ahold of a Moderator, because I am banned, for what reason I don't even know. The supermod Future240 helped clear up and remove my build thread.
