Thanks for the comments everybody, i updated the price. I don't take any credit in building this car, previous owner did everything. The rear mail seal leak isn't too much of a problem from what i can see. I rarely see leaks on the ground and if there is, i know its from the steering rack , regardless it should be done but i would worry about the steering rack before that.

These cars have gained a shitload of popularity recently so you're fucking NUTS if you think ANYONE is going to sell it for what it's 'actually' worth. You're paying for the model and the name. Prices go up when shit gets popular it's just common fucking sense.

You're also fucking insane if you think that suspension BOUGHT BRAND NEW and then driven on for LESS THAN A MONTH is so 'used' that it should cut the price in half. How the fuck does that make sense? Even the Tomei FPR was less than a month old. I could lay down all the fucking receipts and add it up to well over $7500 but I didn't ask for that and neither is this seller. People buy 'old school JDM shit' for the same shit it used to retail for. This is just how our fucking game works. If you bought $1500 coilovers, used them for a month (driving locally, never even commuting out of town), then yanked them off to sell, how much would you ask for them? I guarantee you it would only be about $200 less than retail.

The car is also freshly, PROFESSONALLY, painted. This speaks for itself in our community of rattle-canned shitboxes.

im loling at you right now. people that think the parts are worth original price is what messes up the scene of selling or trading these cars. about a week ago i sold a hatch for 4 grand pushing 450 to the wheels with a turbo bigger than the size of your ego, it had full suspension on apexi coils with a cusco tortion bar YOULL NEVER SEE AGAIN because it was the only one ever made for a 240.he over payed for this car and thats his fault lol.

a stock hatch should be about 1400. now add your parts to that and subtract half for used parts since their not bnib. theres your price. im done shitting on this thread. :keke:

The car was purchased for around $4900. Then $1500 Feal Suspension and $700 for the XXRs/2 new tires. Those things alone make it over $7000

No, the added price makes it $7000. Doesnt mean its worth 7k. It is nearly impossible to ever get back what you put into a car. Im already in deeeeeeeeeep with my 2J build, and I know that if I decide to sell it, I wont get it back. But thats a loss you take when you mod a car.

Ehhhh dude the whole 'I'll never get back what I put in' thing is just a matter of patience in most cases. Everyone said the same thing when I listed the car for $7000: That I would NEVER get that price. I did get what I wanted but it's because I declined the other offers.

I get your point though. When you don't DIY on the labor I think that's where you don't make your money back. But as far as cost of parts (as long as they are less than a few months old) you shouldn't have to discount your work by 50%.
