So I spent my Friday afternoon getting to know the touge a little better. Slow and easy driving. Decided to take some pics with my old 1.3 megapixel Sony. Check it out. About 20 miles worth of touge.

wow, that's kinda weak. what state is that in? california? it looks like our highways that go thru the mountains in CO.

Chernobyl
04-03-2004, 06:34 PM
OMG if that is touge we must be using the wrong definition here in Colorado.

Basically, CO touge OWNS those roads. That road is about as windy as I70 through our state hahahaa. We don't even bother with roads that straight.

Not talking shit, that's just the way it is. Guess california isn't all that!

zenkiDori
04-03-2004, 06:38 PM
yeah, not to be a dick or anything, but CO roads are WAY twistier than that. i'll take some pics of a CO touge this week and show you guys, just so you know we're not blowing smoke.

SiNFuL

LOL....imagine one of those roads and add 180 degree bends everywhere...then add a huge incline and you've got some decent idea of CO touge.

Haha...that turn looks familiar...is that like a T turn??? if it is...THATS OUR SPOT out here!!! and also that would be the same turn my boys S13 understeered like a mutha. Rite where you took that pix...that guardrail, lets jes say his bumper was bout 2 inches from exchanging paint jobs with it. Coming from the opposite direction and forgot how tight the turn was and the dip didnt help *oh yah nite touge too by the way* So which way did you start from?

Cali's got some really windy roads. But racing them, or w/e you do you is kind of BLAH. Why risk the danger when we got so many events constantly going on around us??? Only reason I go up there is to watch other people, or when me and my girl want to go look at the stars ;)

I LOVE the "honda-ricer" mentality that is being displayed here. "My shit is better than your shit, my roads are better than your roads"..... fuck, just post some pictures, if we like then we'll praise it,

...for awhile I thought someone was going to come bring their best driver to challenge me in my district. ...and I got all worked up digging gutters on the touge (cause there aren't any) so I could have an advantage. But it just seems that everyone wanted to compare touges. I don't know how to race touges against each other. Someone's going to have to show me.

the roads nightwalker posted are fairly straight compared to where i drive. but SOCAL has the sickest spot..Glenoaks..up to the satellites

arguments aside the road looks fun to drive or cruise on a nice day. are those recent pictures? we haven't had a clear day like that out here east in a long time. still 50ish degrees. wearing sweater + coat everyday ... lucky bastards. the 'twisties i drive for 'practice' are mostly jughandles. :squintd:

*sigh*
