So I'm doing an SR20DET swap in my buddies s13. It has a stock fuel pump, stock fpr and 440cc injectors. The injectors were on the motor when we bought it. I'm gonna pick up a bigger fuel pump but I was wondering if I can use a fuel pressure regulator to have it run right or if i need to get stock injectors.

Well if your running a stock ECU with no piggy back to tune or a standalone, then put stock injectors on it with the stock rail+ stock FPR. if not your going to have to much fuel and it will bog down. Also you can pick some up from anyone on here or Craigslist for like 60$ for 4 , max you should pay is 100

That's what I figured but I thought I'd ask anyway just to make sure

The FPR is a debatable subject on here. Some say the stock unit is fine for higher horse power, others will say upgrade. If you do go after market, make sure it's a 1:1 rising rate FPR. Is you're just trying to stay stock tho, OEM FPR is just fine, IMO. An after market fuel pump isn't a bad idea either.

Stock FPR will be fine for most 'basic' setups, as they are 1:1. Once you introduce a larger fuel pump, it's suggest to go Nismo or off rail setups to withhold the great power from the pumps.
