All Adaptronic Plug-In Select ECU's include a base map to get the car running, so all you have to do is plug it in!

The Adaptronic Plug-In Select ECU's all include an internal 4 BAR MAP sensor, so you can simply run a hose from the barb on the ECU into the engine bay. You may retain the air flow meter if you wish, but MAP sensing is required for most forced-induction applications. Although these ECU's are plug & play, you still have the freedom to configure and tune the ECU as you wish, using the user-friendly WARI tuning software.

Pinout tables are provided for all Plug-In Select ECU's, so you know exactly what each input and output is connected to on the engine.

General Features:

“3D” Fuel and Ignition maps (32×16 cells per table)
Water temperature corrections, air temperature corrections, auxiliary temperature (eg turbo), Manifold Air Pressure (MAP) sensor for load sensing, Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) for transient throttle response, knock sensing, O2/EGO (exhaust gas oxygen) for closed-loop fuel control
Internal MAP sensor suitable for up to 40 psi of boost
3.5mm headphone jack for listening to knock
PC interface via USB cable
Numerous diagnostic LEDs (standalone models only), including LEDs to indicate trigger input detection and injector/ignition outputs
Field upgradeable firmware
Datalogging via ‘WARI’ PC software (http://adaptronic.com.au/downloads.html)
Free support by forum, email & phone
12 month ‘Return to Base’ warranty
Closed-Loop Adaptive fuel control – with configurable tolerances and loop gains, and conditions under which adaptive behavior takes place
Flex Fuel control (requires fuel composition sensor to be fitted)
Open-loop and closed-loop idle bypass control – allows configuration of increased idle bypass amount based on low battery, electrical load, air conditioner, as well as correction based on RPM, optional ignition timing control for idle speed regulation
Open-loop and closed-loop boost control (where applicable)
Closed-loop variable valve timing (VVT), where applicable
Many other features!

Thanks for the FYI. Just to clarify a few differences between the Adaptronic and the others mentioned.

First off the Adaptronic features the ability to use Volumetric Efficiency based tuning versus limited MAF or rigid Speed Density systems. This method makes the tuning process much easier, more linear, and adaptable to changing modifications and running conditions.

The Adaptronic does not require a peripheral control unit such as a Datalogit ($300) to simply input a wideband O2 signal, datalog in an easy to use format, or enable other commonly used inputs.

The Adaptronic features Adaptive Closed Loop Tuning which when paired with an wideband O2 can 'self tune' during all running conditions including idle, transient throttle (throttle response), as well as under load in boost. This feature is not found in the other ECU's and is what I originally referred to as a function only found on higher priced units (Haltech, Motec, etc.)

If you are interested in using alternative fuels such as E85, the Adaptronic can continue to retain adaptive closed loop tuning by simply adding a 'flex sensor'. This fuel sensor measures that actual ethanol mixture in real-time and transmits feedback to the ECU to ensure proper delivery.

There are many more included features such as:

Superior boost control (boost by gear with factory sensors).
Compatible outputs to most electronic dash displays such as Race Technology (http://adaptronic.com.au/component/content/article/132.html).
Traction/launch control.
Multiple map switching for different operating conditions such as street vs. track.
Variable Valve Timing control.
3.5 Headphone jack for listening to knock while tuning/on the dyno.
and although it may be hard to believe, many more features!
