Well the rain season is coming and its been raining more and more, and my windshield wipers do not work. Now due to my car being lowered, it had rubbed the harness a little and the only thing that would happen was they would sometimes come on when making hard left turns. Now they completely dont work. Does that mean it rubbed through the wire? How would I go about fixing this? Any help is much appreciated!

Well, you answered your own question, for the most part. You said you rubbed thru the wires and the wipers would randomly turn on? So quit being lazy, find where your tire rubbed thru and fix the wires. That is the only answer to your problem.

:stupid::bowrofl::wan:

you should probably consult the advice of a skilled mechanic at this point.
if you are unfamiliar with proper methods of soldering/applying shrink-wrap, its best to have someone more experienced than you show you how its done.

Wow guy...

Take off your fender. Jack car up take off your wheel. Un rap the wires use some wire from auto done match wires by color use female and male end crimps. Re tape up wire harness. Use zip ties to tuck the harness up into the fender but kinda on the outside or stop trying to be hella jdm tyte and heighten your car back up.

He's a dumb ass my way is less complicated for someone who has know knowledge of soldering wires together. I agree it's the better way to go.

This always happens. (the following isn't targeted at any one person)

>somebody asks a question
>somebody bitches about said question being asked but does not help
>somebody gives bad advice/little help
>somebody actually gives an answer op wanted
>thread still gets posted in and bitched about till a mod locks it

I don't fucking get it. You opened/clicked on this thread and you didn't like what op said so you take your time to write something pointless? Why? Why didn't you just either A) not even bother looking at the thread or B) not bother posting in a thread.

Zilvia isn't your house and these type of threads aren't cats shitting in your house and you (metaphorically speaking) bitching about the cat shitting in your house wont stop the cat from shitting in your house. Just show it what to do or don't bother at all because your bitching wont do a damn thing. Zilvia is just a forum for S and Z chassis owners on the internet, you don't have a share/investment in it where threads like this affect you.

I looked at this thread because I understood what the problem was. Somebody pointed it out before and so I offered a small piece of help to solve the issue.
/done

But fuck it, such is life on Zilvia.

MoFuhcka good luck with everthing, hopefully your issue gets resolved. Always try the Zilvia search or Google (YouTube even sometimes) before posting a thread otherwise you won't be cool like everyone else here.

cliffs: ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer.

i'll explain it the simplest way i can.

zilvia is a library.

full of books.

books full of answers.

answers about s-chassis and z-chassis.

walking in to a library, when you don't even know how to read, and then asking the first group of strangers if you can sit on their lap and have them read you a story is the equivalent of making a thread that says "hey my wipers don't work cuz the wires are worn through, what should i do"???

REPAIR THE FUCKING WIRES.

if you really cannot figure out the solution to a problem as simple as this, then you have no business modifying a car. zilvia is a resource. not a daycare. the more useless threads about banal inane shit like this, the more cluttered and less useful this resource becomes.

the more threads of "help my car runs like shit but i haven't checked a single fucking thing now hey random strangers on the internet, solve my problem for me" the more cluttered and less useful this resource becomes.

the more threads with questions that quite literally can be answered on google in a fraction of a second, the more cluttered and less useful this resource becomes.

Okay well you've made good points.

In a simpler form what I really mean is if you (not you but anyone) knows the answer still goes on the thread to complain and doesn't bother to give an answer than it just continues. Or better yet, if nobody responded to the thread in the first place then the OP would be "forced" to really look for their answer. Ya know? None of us get paid to answer these question nor is there consequences to answering them. Let the thread die or just end it yourself (or somebody else can). If the only reply in the thread was of one person who bothered to give an answer then it would be done. I'm not saying all these dumb threads should be answered, I'm just saying they don't even have to be replied to but if they do why not just answer the question and end it right there? If the only replies (IF ANY) to these threads were answers then what's the worst that can happen? A bunch of search results with just answers and only answers that can be sorted out through the ones that are empty? All it is is a search option to find threads with replies.

But again, Zilvia, yeah.

Bambi showed me a video which solved my question. I then thanked him because he was not an asshole AND actually helped. Everyone else is just contributing to the "useless threads" by fucking commenting. If its so useless and it clutters the main page of the forum, stop fucking commenting with smart ass remarks that have nothing to do with the question, because it just keeps on bumping the post. Sorry for having a "stupid" question, but hey, at least Bambi was nice enough to solve it for me without being a douchebag. Youre all just as bad as everyone else in contributing to the downfall of Zilvia.

240sx windshield wipers suck balls. Sometimes, when it's raining hard they don't move as fast as they should.

if you really couldn't figure out "hey, my wires rubbed through, perhaps i should repair them", then you really don't belong working on a car, and should also have your internet access taken away.

I already stated that the proper question shoulda been how to repair them

use butt connectors its cleaner than soldering. especially if you haven't before, not bashing.

Im pretty sure i resolved this i ssue with my first post. If you are going to refuse to Google "how to solder wires" and come on here, expecting to be spoon fed the answer, then you will get what coming to you, which is what you received here on this unnecessary thread.YOU are 23 years old with over 700 posts, if you haven't learned by now, then sell your 240 and buy a bicycle. This isn't Obama.net, you put in your own work around here.

soldering is too easy, just make sure to fan it so you get a good clean connection not some lump shit, and dont forget to slide heatshrink on first lol.
