Ok, we'll I know you can run SE-R rotors w/ Q45 calipers but my buddy is running 30mm aluminums on SE-R rotors and has been for 2 months without issue... Is this safe? Haven't had time to see if his pistons are sticking out excessively.

Thanks for any input.

i would love to help but need more info. looking to do the same and i have 30mm. what year rotors is he running? so i can look up specs.
i know some places sell them 4 and 5 lug for example Circuit Sports Z32 Front Brake Rotors (26 & 30mm) (http://www.240sxmotoring.com/cispz32frbrr.html) but its pricey so if sentra ones fit it would be cheaper.

You can get these and re-drill them quite easily: BrakeBest® Select™ 96077RGS - Brake Rotor | O'Reilly Auto Parts (http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/BBR0/96077RGS/01310.oap?year=1994&make=Nissan&model=300ZX&vi=1209787&ck=Search_brake+drums%21s%21rotors_1209787_2057&keyword=brake+drums%21s%21rotors)

It's fine, as long as it isn't dragging against the rotors.

some people don't like re-drilling due to safety but ive been running mine before i went back to 4 lug for a while now with no problems, it would be cheaper just make sure you countersink the holes so you dont shear off your lugs

not bashing but brakes is your biggest safety hazard, running any old set up is not recommended in my eyes.

2002 Sentra Se-R specs 4 lug obviously

• Overall Height: 1.94"
• Overall Diameter: 11.01"
• Nominal Thickness: .87" which is 22.098mm
• Discard Thickness: .79"
• Type: Vented

1994 300zx specs

• Overall Height: 2.11"
• Overall Diameter: 11.20"
• Nominal Thickness: 1.18" which is 29.972mm
• Discard Thickness: 1.10"
• Type: Vented

i wouldnt trust it thats my 2 cents, but thats entirely up to you but theres some info.

The Nominal thickness of the SER rotors vs the discard thickness of the Z32 rotors scares me but possibly it has nothing to do with piston depth.

Oh well the 2004 SER Spec V rotors are in the car and its all going on tomorrow.

My friend is still problem free on old pads that came with his calipers. Maybe my newer green stuffs will be an even safer thickness.

Just because the fit does not make them safe.

They fit perfectly, equal spacing between the pads and the break pistons are far from being over extended.

Works for me.

Nice headlight cover scoop Mikester.
