hard start sr20

so my redtop sr20 has a hard start issue and i cant quite pin point it basically it cranks and cranks and after cranking for a while it starts up once it runs it runs great. what could this be?

start by checking the basics
Fuel. Do you have correct fuel pressure? Injectors are firing correctly?
Air. Any leaks in piping/intake? Compression within spec and even across the board?
Spark. Plugs are in good condition/not flooded/rich?
Timing. Get a timing light. It is your new best friend.

Check and report back. Thus far with the info you have provided we can only shoot in the dark as to what your problem is.
