My friend and I were replacing the coolant hose in my ka24de that goes underneath the intake manifold. during so, my friend thought it was possible to take off the tube that connects that hose to the upper radiator hose.

The house that goes from the behind the Tstat housing, curves then connects to that tube. We bent this tube:

which is 90 degrees from the tube in the first picture. Can that tube be replaced on it's own, or will I have to replace the whole Manifold?

Please, I need to get this running, its my daily. If it can be replaced on its own, please let me know how. If the whole manifold (unless I'm wrong, and the housing for the tube isn't a part of the manifold) give me tips on taking it off? I tried to take it off to replace the hose, but I couldn't extract the studs, even with the double nut technique

Yes it can be replaced. Should only be about $15 from the dealership and the new hose about $8.

The bolts that hold it on are tricky to get to, so use some swivel sockets.

Where exactly are the bolts to the tube? Glad to hear its only $15. As far as the hose, I already have. Thanks I'm gonna look into this. I had already began looking for manifolds

it honestly doesnt look like it comes off. Will I have to take off the manifold in order to do so? I can't see any bolts or nuts that are specific to the tube

That tube is pressed in... and according to this diagram, part of the intake assy.

140 Manifold :: Engine Mechanical :: Genuine Nissan Parts :: 240SX Parts (S13) 1989-1994 :: Nissan Parts, NISMO and Nissan Accessories - Courtesyparts.com (http://www.courtesyparts.com/240sx-parts-s13-1989-1994/genuine-nissan-parts/engine-mechanical/140-manifold/-c-1418_1419_1420_1431.html)

If it isn't cracked or leaking, it will be okay with a small bend/kink in it. Other than that, getting it out & replacing it will very likely require the manifold to be off the car- In which case, it would probably be easier to replace it with a mani out of a junker.

Didn't realize I had more replies. Yes, at first i thought it was just a small dent. It was an actual crack that sprayed coolant out when running. I ended up replacing the whole manifold, confronting problem after problem in the process. But I got it running. And I took off those stupid studs and replaced them with bolts. I was gonna remove the EGR and vacuum lines but then decided it wasn't worth it, especially since I needed it running ASAP. I had to remove as install the manifold various times that I now have it down from multiple hours, to less then an hour to remove and re install lol.
