drift day helmet question~~?

hi guys i was wondering if driftday really checks every single person's helmet if they passed sm2000(snell) or DOT .?
cuz i have a helmet(zeus 508) that i used for my motor cycle and this helmet is only DOT , .. do they really check the helmet? or it's like a rule for drivers own sake.?

i think they check everything...otherwise why would they have requirements..damn..i have a sm95..hope that is still good.
