Search... please for the love of god search.
But really im trying to save you from getting flamed. This topic has been covered a BILLION TIMES. Both are good engines and can make good power, its mostly personal preference and what deals you can find. If you searched you would have found that out. Either search or delete your account and sell your 240.

Sr20 will be cheaper. Rb20 will be stronger and put more power down but the aftermarket for them isn't the greatest. If you decide rb, might as well go rb25. All said an done for my rb25 swap came to just over $5000.
As Mott said, SEARCH! There is useful info all around this site.

I personally like the SR20 better. Easier to get help also on the forum because SR20 are so common.

sr20 = lots of aftermarket support, not bad if you want an engine to keep around and progressively build and crank out power, drop in plug and play no need for custom fabrication, easy to come by.
rb20 = revs high, can beat the shit out and abuse, no shitty oil starvation issues, not much aftermarket support, easy to add on bolt ons (ex. rb25 turbo) for more power, great if you don't plan on building anything crazy, needs special mounts or crossmember swap, can be very cheap. I know somebody who's had their RB20 coupe for a long time now without 1 damn issue and loves it when out drifting and they don't plan to ever go sr20 again. So if you just want enough power to be a bit zippy and have fun with the rb20 isn't a bad choice at all.
And no, I don't see how you can say "might as well go RB25" because RB20's are about the same price or less than an sr20 so nowhere near $5000.
