View Full Version : fuel rail alignment problem

No matter how hard I try I cannot get my fuel rail to go on right. It used to fit fine and then I removed it so I could replace the cushions, and now it is not even close to going on right. The closest I've been to right is having them all off center and then leaving a gap, but then the engine stalls if you leave it in idle. What do I need to replace?

you are missing the plastic insulator that goes under the rail... and odds are that you bent the fuel rail.. I have done it before.

first step make the pictures smaller so we can see the whole image..... and if your using a greddy style manifold you know you have to slot the last hole to get it to fit anyhow right? with your old seats the slot was probly fine because they were worn, now you may have to adjust it.... or your rail could just be bent....

Its an Isis manifold, and what do you mean by slotting it?

Could the gaps that are in between the fuel injectors and the cushions cause a vacuum leak and make the car stall? It turns on and stays on if you keep you give it gas, but it wont idle

Ok so, now it idles for a little bit, and eventually it will bog down, almost die, turn back on, and then die. Also, my temperature gauge needle doesn't move.

As you saw in the pic, I have an aftermarket rail... So I didn't connect the 3rd tab. On a stock rail; just do the same- dont connect it b/c there is nothing to connect it to.

That's a circuit sports rail, right? And how tall areb the spacers you are using?

I have no idea how tall the spacers are. I used the harware from the stock mani/rail...

Get 2 of these and you will be set: Nissan Genuine OEM S13 SR20DET/ KA24DE Fuel Rail Spacer (http://www.frsport.com/Nissan-Genuine-OEM-S13-SR20DET--KA24DE-Fuel-Rail-Spacer_p_12787.html)

I'm sure the GReddys fit fit rails like champs. The ISIS and many other knockoffs do not.

imitation is the sincerest form of flattery (even if it does come from an idiot who can't figure out why his knockoff parts don't fit right and keeps making redundant threads)

It was actually the previous owner that put in this part
