Only they sold thousands and thousands of crx's here and never sold one skyline new. So there is crash test data for a crx. You had to be joking right? You can't be that dumb.

Learn a little more about the importing car game before you throw out useless incorrect information. If a car model was sold here as a USDM model, it's is leaps and bounds more simple to import it's foreign counter part.

The rules are the same for any car imported that is not 25 years old, corresponding chassis or not. The cars aren't legal. Glass is different and not to us spec, chassis had different impact points due to being rhd, etc.

And I'm not shitting on the thread. The simple fact is that the word skyline has a cloud around it. But Silvia's, pulsars, Crx's, eg, ek, fd, basically any other car doesn't have that cloud and mystique. Hell my Gloria is the only one in the country, and I had not one comment in my thread. These cars don't get people excited nor do they bring out the inner fanboy in everyone.

We have been programmed to hate skylines. Or love them. They are the forbidden fruit.

No different that a state titled skyline. Its just that no one cares about a crx. And there are varying degrees illegal. People tend to not realize that. Riding around with no insurance is just as bad if not worse than driving an insured state titled car. The cars that get seized are in blatant direct violation of many federal laws. There are more correct ways to do something the wrong way than others if that makes any sense.

Yep skyline is a naughty word from both Kaizo, motorex, and also the movie lol! I'm not trying to be an ass just trying to open peoples eyes that all cars not just skylines are the same. If isnt motorex or a jk technologies car it's 100% it's all who you get them from and the outlets they come. You can get screwed from any car so grey cars are no different. That's why they are called "grey" because it isn't plain black or white as far as legalities are concerned.

The skylines that have been seized have all been due to being titled as kit cars, or having tampered vins, or no vins at all, or being vin swapped and titled and registered as 240's etc. if one comes in and duties are paid and have you customs papers and deregs there are as legit as anything. Driving them on the road is a different story, as they are in violation of several dot laws. But you can have one legally in the country. For a track car.

Typically from what I see a lot of the spewed misinformation comes from people that have yet to attempt to own an imported car or have zero knowledge of the subject and fall victim to listening to mindless propaganda of others. As "gray" as the rules are, they are still rules are pretty cut and dry. Rules get broken everyday. Speeding, stachetory rape, carrying your pistol where you should not, cheating on a test, drinking on you lunch break, smoking some OG bobby Johnson, drinking and driving. Whatever. Its just another rule that some chose to break. Its only as big a deal as people make it.
