just thought id share my story. well i first got burned by a guy that said the engine was water damaged so after a month he finally contacted me and said hed send payment back and im still waiting, but in the meantime I bought an sr from rickey at rickeys auto center in florida. well I got it today and it was HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL. so in the morning I call the shipping company and they say yah weve got it but have to set up an appointment so im like shit i want it today. so hes like well you can come get it. I went up there w my friend in my bosses truck and after waiting 45 minutes for the guy to find it he comes up and says oh somehow they put it on a truck. so im like fine gimme a call at 6 and weel discuss this. they were open till 7 and the truckers get back at 6 so i had the hour to get the engine. so I call back at like 530, the guy says (in a mediocre i dont care no emotion) yes we lost your engine it is somewhere were tryin to find it and well call you. Oh but im thinking we sent it to a GM plant. (as im in the surrounding detroit area) and those were his word pretty exact. so im like oh ok and i hang up. then not more than 5 minutes later I get a call from the warehouse manager at a Home Depot store about a half hour away. he goes. I got an engine I know i didnt order an engine . its got your name written all over it. im pissed and happy at this moment. at least i know where it is. so I go there and talk to a lady and she looks at me like im from japan. not knowin what the hell im talkin about. I go why dont you just take me to your back room. sure enough there is a pallet with a nice beefy sr20 on it and im all happy. but the Fockers had it a foot off the ground held up on the tranny side so the engine was sagging and scrapin the ground. I started bitchen and they fixed it but the best part was when they drove the engine throughout the whole store and all the aisles. people were lookin like WTF. and there were like 5 workers all surrounding it. needless to say this is rediculous and cost me a whole day. you guys think i can get full or partial refund of shipping. the great part is they charge me 40 extra to deliver to my house which i paid yet they delivered to a business that was 30 minutes away and i had to pick it up there. so i shoudl at least get that back. because no matter if i waited till tomarrow or got it today, it still would have been sitting in home depots warehouse any way you slice it.

How could they deliver it to home depot, if it has your name and address on it, why would they sign for it?

What company was used for shipping?

Yes i say you should get your money back from those idiots. First they lost it. then they delivered it to the wrong place. Hell ya call them up first thing in the morning its their fault not yours in any way.

thats what made me the most pissed, how someone could overlook such a package. I mean come on. what kind of items do home depot sell that have shifters sticken out of them. maybe the driver just left the trailor and they didnt notice the engine at first but im sure they sign for all items. they didnt even check id or anything at home depot either. but i mean it wasnt their problem they just wanted to get it out of there. man I wish I had my camera today. that would have been great to get some pics of them dragging the engine through the aisle.

shitty deal there. I would demand free shipping for such harm. I can just picture martha dragging what she thinks is teddy the inventory chiefs daily fix it motor through the store being held by just pure force of the tranny bolts. WOW. I would have been fuming.

If im correct you posted a little back stating u were shafted on and SR. I guess you just dont have ANY luck at all. :axe:

did you talk to the shipping company... if not you should just talk to them like you never got your engine from home depot... and ask to get a complete refund (engine and shipping)...haha

another SR horror story. If i were ever to get an SR which i probably never would, it would definitely be from my local speed shop. The good people at Area 51 in san mateo. if something went wrong you can just drive over and deal with them. I really feel sorry for the people that have been jacked by flashoptions..some guy in Malaysia is listening to you swearing on the phone , he's probably laughing" haha i dont give a fuck" and hangs up and keeps your money.

well supposedly he said he's gonna send the money back.
there are legal actions you can take.
or other non-orthodox actions cause he's so close to you.

WTF...I work receiving at Home Depot, and if I got an engine in one night, I know I would be confused as fuck, (assuming it wasn't mine or a friends ;) ). If the driver didn't have a bill for it, it would be left or put back on the truck. I'm trying to figure out how the hell they got it and kept it unless it was a drop trailer. At least they called and helped you out. I would make sure the motors in good shape, so you can file a claim against the shipping company if you have too. Who was the shipping company?

well shit, yah i bought from ebay as im in michigan and there arent many speed shops around here that deal w sr20s or many imports for that matter. i kknow most of you guys are in florida/cali. but after getting burned on a first sr deal, actually i might get the money back. (i did a chargeback anyway so i got my money but the guy said hes gonna send it back so ill give the money back to visa.) but I saw his feedback so I ordered it. my bad. but as far as the delivery, I think it was a drop trailor because i went around back and there wrere trailers all aligned on the docs w no trucks. so thats probably why. oh btw central transport was the name of the company.

Hey GSRACER...look at this site..

www.budgetautotransport.com

They ripped me off (north Miami) by taking my money and never picking up my car. I feel like doing a tapdance on their head except I am 1000 miles away....want to go over there for me and shake them up?

Sorry about thread highjacking...but I want to get the word out on these bums.
