Check on Google, their is a dude in Aus that did one, cuz its rather fast, runs low 11s on low boost, seems mean

wow! I would assume centrifugal? Its just the turbine(I think,or is it compressor? Shit,I can't remeber...) side of a turbo thats belt driven wich of course means no turbo lag and boost around 2000-ish depending on the blower/engine and will carry it all the way to the redline ! :):):):):):):):):):)

And if you are into bling, you can still run a FMIC

centrifugal superchargers don't make full boost until redline.

IIRC, it would actually be SR20DE-R. I believe thats what it was that denotes a supercharger anyways.

That looks twin charged to me? :-/ Damn nice setup if he has gotten the fuel management down

Personally i would stick to Turbo. First we all know that turboes have major gains and works well on sr's, its proven cause it comes stock turboed sr20det duh.

I would not go supercharger because of the fact that our engines are 4 cylinders. It will have to crank another pulley. I am not saying that supercharging wont make the car fast its just that turbo'in will be more efficient and effective.

i know what you mean, masterofdrift, i just wondered if anyone did it and what kind of numbers it gained out of it. the one i posted pics of was said to be 318whp.

Thats what I was thinking...but I didn't want to sound like a dumbass :mepoke:

Any write-ups or other info about the more technicall side of it?

Sounds like a made up term to me. Very few people run both b/c it complicates things. If you need to spool a big turbo use N2O.. it's much cleaner to install, and doesn't rob horsepower.

HKS made a twincharger kit for the older MR2's. (AW11, i think) It's discontinued though. Also, I know that some rally cars used to run this type of setup. Meguire (the car wash stuff comp) made a twincharged integra show car a few years ago..... search for any of those things and you could get so info on those types of set-ups...

Yeah,I would. But I just like to learn about new stuff, and the twincharge set-up very much interests me in how its done....thats all:)

twin charge equalls excessive heat. Not very practical, as was stated about the Meguir's integra when the people who built the car talked about it. They did it just purely for the "we DID it" coolness.

superchargers to me = give up 20hp to make 100hp.

My favorite "twincharged" car:

Lancia Delta S4

A turbocharger, supercharger, and 2 injectors per cylinder helped it get 480hp out of a 1.8L. And it killed enough people to get Group B rallycars banned :) There are a few very rare street versions out there, I saw one in EVO magazine a year or so ago
