hey guys i have a quick question. i heard recently that tein coil-overs have a product out that adjusts automatically to your cars weight and detentions. i head they're not electronically powered though. They're just like regular coil-overs, i was just wondering if they actually existed?

You mean ... you really do believe coilovers would magically set their damping laws and spring height ? If you really do, i have lots of magic parts to sell you.

yeah, use Citroen or Rolls Royce's hydraulic suspension, and you'll get this option.

They exist. they are just not your regular ebay coilovers, and they have the price tag that goes with them.

It is the kind of stuff you find on supercars, there is an onboard ECU that adjust damping / rebound and height dynamically so the car handles perfectly. I think it also acts on spring and anti roll bar preload to adjust stiffness. Some also dynamically adjusts camber / toe / caster so that the tyres are always flat against the ground. Typical ferrari stuff (price wise too).

The stuff you are talking about is the EDFC kevmeistah21 was talking about, but it does not do what you were led to believe. Note that electric actuator means you can make a closed loop regulation system with it.

Edit : citroen uses a different tech... but a xantia V6 hydractive 2 is quite impressive to drive. This thing just flies.

thank you for an honest reply and not being a jerk about it.
