FS/FT 1991 240sx Hatchback - Built KA-T, Cage, Cold A/C, Daily Drifter Feeler Thread

I am posting this as a feeler thread to gauge interest in my car I will be selling to get a regular daily. I have put crazy amounts of work into this car and I can guarantee you that everything is done right and no shortcuts were taken. I build my cars with the idea that I don't care which part is the cheapest, I buy the parts that I know are quality where it matters. This is a legit drift car and a perfectly drivable daily, I'm only selling it because I really need to focus on my V8 S14 project. It has been my daily driver since the day I bought it. I drove in 2 drift events in this car and it handled great, competed in one Lone Star Drift event and finished 12th with the stock KA.

No wire tucks, no cracked unibody, no transmission grinds. This car has NO stripped bolts, NO Oil Leaks, NO Power Steering Leaks, No Transmission Leaks, No Diff Leaks, very little rust, no damage other than small dents, no core support damage. Uncracked Windshield, blinkers work, headlights & brights work.

Climate Control Air Routing Selector Doesn't Work
No rear speakers

The car is only on 8LBS and it pulls great. As soon as I get the boost controller on tomorrow, ill be running 16LBS and should make 300WHP.

actually I was a little iffy about the car, but honestly, reading all the work done to the car, its a good price.

You concentrated on the right stuff ( engine, suspension, wheels, etc..) overall man its a dope car seriously.

This engine was broken in EXACTLY to the specifications of the machine shop engine builder. They said that the typical old break in procedure of going easy on it for a while is not necessary due to the technology we have these days in machining and tolerances. I did their break in procedure exactly to spec and the engine is great. It never even puffed smoke on initial start up.

http://nissans15.com/img/gt28diagram.gif It looks like cars 6 speed manual cars built between Jan 1999 and Oct 2000 got the ball bearing turbo and cars built after this got the non ball bearing turbo. Indications are that a 6-bolt housing means it's ball bearing and a 4 bolt housing means it's non ball bearing. The best way to check though is to look at the part number on the turbo. It's a small plate in between the compressor and turbine housings.


14411-91F00 is ball bearing
14411-69F00 is plain bearing
14411-75F00 is plain bearing, used Nov 2000 onwards

The factory spec r turbo is T28


Turbine - 53mm T25, 0.64 A/R, 62 trim 38.5mm outlet, Inconel wheel
Compressor - 60mm Exd, 46.5mm Ind T3, 0.60 A/R, 60 trim

The factory spec turbo is good for a little over 200kw at the wheels

It's that main hoop you see there with door bars down to the front floorboard.
No rear downbars, full rear seat & trim.

New ECU chips installed, tune is now perfect 11.5-12.0 under full throttle 8PSI with the SAFC 0'd out across the board.
