Im looking for different options for (Nissan/part store) longer and beefer inner and outer tie rods. I want something bigger than s14. I was told 2000-2003 Maxima tie rods will work but no locally has them in stock to compare.

Any info is appreciated.

I run these and love them: Circuit Sports HTR-0134-HC Inner & Outer Tie Rod Combo S13/S14 (http://www.frsport.com/Circuit-Sports-HTR-0134-HC-Inner---Outer-Tie-Rod-Combo-S13-S14_p_9281.html)

Much beefier than stock, nice difference in feedback/feel; and no rubber boots to crack/tear... As far as "bang for the buck," they are very affordable (cheaper than a full OEM Maxima inner/outer set) and more of an upgrade~

Circuit sports tie rod ends are junk, I've seen a ton of people snap the shanks.

There is never any rubber between the rack and the knuckle...

Here's a list of tie rod lengths, they're all about the same thickness besides the skinny S13 ones.

89-94 240sx.. 11.10" (m12x1.25)
95-98 240sx.. 11.37"
94-99 maxima 11.42"
96-99 i30...... 11.42"
97-01 Q45..... 12.00" (same with 01-06)
00-04 i30...... 12.91"
99-03 maxima 12.91"
03-08 maxima 13.30" (same with 04-06)
PSM Spherical....12.5"

Just run an OEM style outer unless you need the bumpsteer correction. Then get SPL.

They're not junk. For DD-ing, spirited driving and drifting they are fine.

For hardcore aggressive track use- PBM, SPL etc. hands-down.

Um, yes they are. Your tie rods are probably the worst thing to have break regardless of what you're doing. Who knows what kind of material that shank is made out of for it to break. Your tie rod should bend in half before that breaks.

Well I have had good luck with them... as have many others. Also, I dig the lifetime warranty.

recommendations from SPL

240SX with stock knuckles: Use with OEM 300ZX (Z32) inner tie rods or Tein 350Z (Z33) inner tie rods only.

240SX with modified (increased steering angle) knuckles: Use with S14 inner tie rods (OEM, Tein, Ikeya Formula, etc.)

personally i'm running the new PBM s14 inners with moog oem outers. (i'm running roll center corrected knuckles so i don't need the "dropped" style outer tie rod ends)
