From what I'm reading the first "cat converter" is actually a hollowed out resonator and the actual converter is further down? Is this correct?

I ask because I have a 95 with a header with a broken stud so I can't really use it to bolt up to this resonator/cat converter without causing a leak.

I have an S13 header and downpipe set up laying around. Can I swap that out on the S14 and just go with that? Will it reach that far?

Measure it or just jack the car up & give it a shot. You got nothing to lose.

I don't have the downpipe on hand, its in storage about an hour away.

Just an FYI s13 exhaust manifold will not work on an s14 KA. Best thing to do is extract the broken stud or find another manifold.

well thats confusing. The motor is actually blown that is in the car right now and I just pulled it last night.

The one that is going in was in an S13 and has S13 headers (the one with 2 holes at the end) and I was told by the guy who I bought it from that it was out of an S14.

I've heard that they aren't interchangeable on my searches. But at the same time some other people say they are. I'm leaning more towards that they are, just by eyeballing it it seems that they'd both fit.
