Okay, so i bought a built sr that came with an aem standalone series 1 (pn: 1601) It was already tuned, and in a running car. I took the motor partially apart to verify the build/ make sure everything was good.
I have it in the car, it came pre wired into an engine harness i got with the motor, but i'm having issues starting it.
I'm new to AEM's and doing some research on the aem forum i've seen that people have issues syncing the cas to the aem, i followed those steps and changed it from rising to falling, on the crank, verified the mx setting, but when i pull up the engine start it says that the "stat" is off, when it needs to be on for the engine to start? i havn't been approved for the forum yet, so i was hoping some AEM guru's might have some insight on here first so i could get started on trying to figure it out.
I don't think i'm getting spark, but when trying to start it with just starter fuid it did shoot a fire ball out of the intake, which it also did after letting the car sit for an hour just when i turned the ignition to on :wtf: hasn't done it since i followed the guide to fixing the cas setup.

top feed rail, i believe 750cc injectors that i'm assuming are low impedence because they have a resistor box wire in
spitfire coil pack setup
cp pistons/eagle rods
darton 90mm sleeves
cas has a clear cover so i'm not sure if it's a hitachi or a mitsubishi (read that the hitachis are the ones with the sync problem)
Please no bashing about how i shouldn't have bought a built motor i didn't see run or any of that, i got a really good deal, and it is what it is.
