Probably a little late to this thread but as far as the scene goes you can check out the local 240sx forum for the Northern Virginia area at ma240sx.net.

We have local meets all the time up here in NOVA. Fredericksburg had some big car meets in the warmer months but Honda kids got it shut down. There is a big Honda scene down there and a lot of the 240 guys lie low but a good bunch of us hang out together.
