Kouki S14 Bumper Design -->Reality

A while back I entered a design contest for a new S14 Kouki bumper design. Thanks to the overwhelming support of friends and fellow drivers, car enthusiasts (some who don’t even own a S14) my design won. Aerokit will be making my bumper design a reality. I am extremely excited and thankful. Now I need to buy another S14.

I posted up here but forgot that links to FB were not permitted so it was deleted. But I know some people voted for me and I want to thank anyone who did.

Thanks a lot man. Yes I was actually thinking of that style hood when I was going through ideas. I will probably do an Origin hood or something along that line when I get mine.

No turn signals. My intent was the corner lights would be re-wired as turn signals leaving the bumper to be more simple.

Bingo. This was a contest just for the front bumper. I would love to design a whole new kit for the S14 as I have issue with most of the rear bumpers. I want to do some spoilers too. Maybe in the future.

They just started the production process today so I have not heard anything. I will keep everyone posted here if and when I hear anything though.

Man sadly this contest was specific only to a Kouki bumper. I love Zenki's so maybe I can convince them to do up one for the Zenki with some more drawings.

It would be cool to see US companies doing more things like this, rather than knocking off Japanese designs. I'm sure a lot of people would buy US original designs if they actually looked good, like this!

Thanks man. Cool, I did IDT as well. It's stupid hard and competitive. This was just a design competition. Ive been entering competitions this past year, which sucks because you don't get paid even if you win. I'm hoping to use any winnings as portfolio stuffers and to make contacs/network through doing so.

wow, that would be my fav kouki bumper now... I personally liked zenki's over kouki's but this actually looks so good if i got an s14 i would consider converting my front to kouki JUST for this bumper..

Awesome design, and how does one even obtain such an opportunity ? A family member of mine is one of the best designers i know and it ranges from everything from military vehicles to cars to guitars..

And i feel like he just has no opportunity to actually get known in the automotive industries unless there is some sort of connection. How ever i suppose it takes just alot of talking to people and making friends in order to have a deal like this.

Its a great accomplishment if you ask me.. i mean there hasnt been any recently designed kits made in awhile in my opinion that even look decent. This is something that i think is a game changer.

I could see this as all 4, s13 pop ups, s13 silvia, zenki and kouki. I really like this idea, I hope more new designs come out in the future, it's been getting old with the same kits just being reproduced and cheaper.
