I just did this swap in my slamed 98 mustang and it came to about 12 grand. Expect to pay more if you do the work yourself..

you need a full 2j swap as you would any other swap... mounts and custom driveshaft plus a custom wiring harness which is 800

Aaaaand no. If you have you cant even call the engine by its proper name and you have no clue what it entails to do the swap, what makes you think you'd have a fighting chance of getting it done? You're better off giving your $10k to a shop to do it. Your $6k would be even enough to do it yourself...

Then why are you asking what it will cost if you already know people personally to ask.
Btw it's called a 2JZ-GE or 2JZ-GTE.

if u have people that have done the swap before, why don't you go ask them their opinions. does this look like a toyota forum to you?

Toyota forum? There you go not making sense again man. The dudes obviously got a 240 and wants to put a 2J in. This would be the place to ask as hes swapping his Nissan, not his toyota.
I will agree that he should just ask the people he claims that "know" how to swap.

It really can and is a common swap. Google key words '2JZ swap 240sx' and there's plenty of results on the first page alone:
My Detailed 2jz-gte/240sx swap : 240sx General Discussion (http://forums.nicoclub.com/my-detailed-2jz-gte-240sx-swap-t337004.html) - Oh look which forum this links to...
