My front KTS SC Coilovers don't go near as low as i'd like and I just bought a new set of wheels that are 17x9, my rear looks fine but the front looks weird with it being so high. I have been looking at Swift Replacement Springs for them, I understand the Inner Diameter measurement and the spring rate. But what do I choose for the length? If I am wanting to go lower wouldn't it be best to choose a shorter spring? I am just wanting some advice, thanks.

You dont go lower with shorter springs on a coilover, unless you are limited by the height adjustment collar being in contact with the spring adjustment collar.

Its funny cause I was just looking into this myself. The one thing you have to keep in mind is the amount of usable stroke your strut/shock has. By reducing the spring height you could possibly cause damage if there isnt enough room for the strut/shock to do its job. Seal blowouts, crappy handling etc.
But, on that note there is a coilover company that offers shorter springs
cant remember who though ( stance, pbm?) someone chime in

Yeah I understand that, but thats exactly what is happening. My height is limited by the spring adjustment collar, with a shorter spring the collar would be able to go up higher and i would have more adjustability I believe or thats what it looks like to me.

I would suggest 6" springs. The standard front springs on the coilovers that I've seen are 8"-10" long.

Swift Springs is the company ive heard great reviews, you can choose your spring rate and everything. Thats who I was going with.

I'll measure the spring today and see, I just wasn't sure of what length of spring would be best. Thank you though.

Yeah thats what I was gonna run as well.
What I was getting at is one of the coilover companys out there has "shorter" springs available for their lineup.
I swear there was a thread on here already that discussed swift c/o replacement springs and almost everybody said it was a HUGE improvement in ride quality

Yes, you're right. Just get a spring that's 1" shorter than what you have. Just make sure that you have enough threads to make up for the shorter spring on spring seat thread.

Alright, that pretty much answers my question! Thank you guys for all the help and info!
