What puts less wear on your brakes?
You're coming up to a stop so you lightly press the brakes from far away to slow down gradually
or
You brake later, but harder
or
does it not matter at all

I am also wonder about this. Its seems that it would be the same wear but I doubt that is true. Cause if you are thresh hold braking your pads are defanitly going to wear down faster that just normal low pressure braking...
dunno

Lightly press the brakes from far away to slow down gradually. Think of the effect that shifting at 7000 rpm all the time when you drive... now think shifting at 3000 rpm all the time. Jumping on the brakes wears away a lot of brake parts that you and I don't feel like replacing.

cool, thanks.
One last question though....heh i'm such a noob :bash:
When putting into gear, do you really need to push the clutch ALL THE WAY in or can you just push it in enough so that it allows you to change gears. You know, like push it just a bit more than the engage point. Are you confused :duh:
