By the way, smog is done. This is a California car, and is currently registered in the "enhance area" according to smog regulation. What it means is that, cars in the enhance area need to go on a dyno for the smog test in addition to visual and just plain tail pipe checks. This is the stricter of the 2 tests currently in california, which is required in the major pollution population center just as LA county and SF bay area counties.

So if you buy a car that only did the basic smog check, and you want to register in the metro cali area, you still would need to take it to get the enhance test done, no exception. That means headaches for looking for a place that will do the smog for your newly purchased SR 240.

With this car, you can register any where in california without worry about smog test requirement.

Did I mention it is smogged already? ;)

After reading your editorial I assume you are in NorCal right (400 miles to LA)? If so, another one too far for me to get... :(

Well, the car is in norcal. If you really want the car, 400 miles is not too far. Make it a road trip to see the golden gate bridge and the car. If you like it enough, I can drive down to socal to deliever the car. I come down here all the time anyways.

Got some emails about the current state of the car, and I will try to answer them here instead of writing individual emails:

1) It is a clean title, not savaged.
2) It has no collision before, frame is straight. You are welcome to crawl under the car to look at the frame rail and check out all the fenders.
3) It is registered, and SMOG is DONE. You only need to transfer the title and pay DMV the fee.
4) Yes, DMV will ask you for the sales price of the car and you would have to pay taxes on it. And as far as DMV is concerned, its a $500 13yr old car. :naughty:

email [email protected] to arrange a time for test drive.
