Ok so I have a stock rb25 in my s13 and have been looking into running a 75 wet shot into it. So in doing that I would need to retard the timing about 2-3*. But what if I wanted to get a bigger turbo, injectors, maf, etc..and tune it with a standalone like a pfc or something like that. How would I be able to have that setup and run nitrous at the same time if the nitrous calls for a bit of retarded timing? Is there a standalone where I could have 2 different maps on it? One for the setup without nitrous and one for the setup with nitrous.

Haltech? As far as I know, you tune the map for the NOS. So when you dont use it, you dont make as much power as you could without it. Never really messed with the stuff other than NA. Dont really see the point of it on a bigger engine, even 1000whp RB26s I've seen in Japan would rather go meth injection than go NOS.

Well see thats what I dont want. I dont wanna lose power just because im tuned with nos. I wanna be able to make good power without nitrous. Only thing I can think of is having 2 different maps that u can switch between

Haltech all the way. Get the platinum pro. It's what I use. You can adjust just about anything. I'm pretty sure I have adjusted the position of a satellite using that thing.

but how would i be able to switch between the 2 different maps without hooking it up to a laptop?

Dual tune ecu, you can have a switch you flip to switch between maps. I know Martin at RS-Enthalpy can provide such things, also I HIGHLY recommend him. Have been running his ecu for over a year and the support he provides for his products is outstanding. I can't say whether or not he'll have a specific nitrous tune on hand without dyno time, but he's worth a look.

Nice ok that's one thing I'll look into. Does anyone know if the pfc canhave different maps? And can switch between them using the hand controller?

You would want the haltech. You can wire the nitrous as an input triggered by a switch. When you activate that switch it automatically reverts to the nitrous map youve created until input is turned off. Easy

The platinum pro plugin for the R32/R33 rb25/26. That's how I have it in my car

Car isnt running yet but the plan is about 150hp worth in two stages. Dry but a direct port setup.
