240sx ls1 chirp!! Help!? - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvSvrPGFLjU)

^Video^ don't know how to embed! Sorry.

Just got it in and took it or a test drive. On the test drive it overheated due to a bad water pump. Upon replacing the water pump it made this noise heard in video. Did reasearch and thought it was a stuck lifter. Bought new Ls7 lifters along with the tsp 224r cam. Replaced all that along with timing chain and ported oil pump. Got it all back togeather and it still making noise. It goes faster as the RPMs increase.

I'm using the sikky swap kit with the 1 7/8th headers that I exhaust wrapped. The cylanders hold pressure an the oil pressure is strong. There's no "stripped glitter" in the oil.
I'm thinking its the stage 3 monster clutch that I put in before I dropped it in. noise stays the same when clutch is pressed to the floor. but am unsure and want to see if anything minor can be tryed before anything else.
I did everything by the book so I have no idea what it might be!! Any help would be beneficial
HElp mE get this pig on the road and to the track!!

Could it be a pulley making that noise?

Id check your belt tension/ make your your power steering fluid is topped up.

Get a automotive stethiscope and try touch each part of the car to locate to noise.

Pulled belt off and it still makes noise. So it's none of the pulleys. I had sikky do the wire harness for me.

no problem man,
Can you hear any noises turning crank by hand?

Did you check the bottom end before installing?

Maybe the starter gear is stuck out?

I don't know a whole lot about ls1's but im trying to think of things I would check.

If it has hydro lifters they need to be bleed.

Video makes this seem like a bottom end noise. Does the noise increase/decrease with engine RPM? Kind of sounds like a leaking exhaust manifold as well, something to check out. :2f2f:

I would check your valve train for sure. Were they new lifters? Did you soak em in oil for a while prior to install??

Possible clutch chatter, but sounds awful strange. Monster clutches usually don't screw around like that either. Also could be the oil pump gerotor gears, but highly unlikely. Anyways, this is a longshot but do you have A/C? Any chance you forgot about the second belt? As others have said, it really does sound like a pulley.
